国際フェローの称号は、薬剤学関連領域で国際的に特に顕著な業績を上げた会員（国際学術団体の著名な賞の受賞者並びに会長・副会長等の代表役員経験者）、本会の国際賞（タケル・アヤ・ヒグチ記念講演賞並びに永井記念国際女性科学者賞）を受賞した外国人、並びに多くの会員を留学生として受け入れた外国人を顕彰するため、臨時に授章するものです。
